The Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment program (EPSDT) is a Medicaid service for individuals under the age of 21. The program evaluates and monitors a child’s health through periodic examinations to ensure that problems are diagnosed and treated early.
GCSS provides personal care assistance to EPSDT recipients from birth to age 21 with physical limitations caused by illness or injury.

- Basic personal care
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Personal hygiene
- Assistance with bladder or bowel functioning
- Food preparation
- Performance of incidental household chores for the recipient
- Escorting the recipient to medical appointments
Services do not cover medication administration or tube feeding. |
eligibility
- All Medicaid recipients from birth to age 21 not receiving Individual Family Support waiver services are eligible.
